Hoosier Daddy

Plot Summary

The story of a young black basketball coach, who, because he had never actually played basketball, faces discrimination in the 1970's Midwest.

He builds a team that begins to win and gain the support of the community, only to lose the championship due to an ineligible player from Australia.

Through the course of the action, the audience:
    a) develops a deeper understanding of diversity through
        the protagonist, Coach "Blue", as he overcomes the
        color barrier, and
    b) gets to know a kangaroo.

Script proposes an exciting soundtrack of 70's hits by Jimi Hendrix, The Commodores, Funkadelic, Ike & Tina Turner, and Neil Sedaka.

Screenplay by Leon deWilliams, from his haiku - "Ballin' in the Gym on the Down Low."
