What's in a Name?
Plot Summary
The story of a vaudeville performer who waited too long to change his name from Adolf Hidler. By 1939 his career had seen a major downturn, briefly revived when he adopted the stage name of "Joey Stalino." By the early 1950's, world events forced "Papa Joe" to make another change to boost his career. Alienating his love interest, chorus girl Mitzi Glitsi, he went all out and became a female impersonator, billed as "Edie A. Means." Unfortunately, his African Tour was a creative and financial disaster. In the 1960's our man, now aging and searching for a new performing identity, finally hit on a name and a formula that earned him a modicum of success. With an operatic baritone and jet black hair, "Robert Goolet" was able to have enough good earning years to retire comfortably to Laughlin, Nevada, young Adolf only a fond but faded memory.
